Former MLC Participates in Maha Yagna at Uyyuru’s Sri Suvarchal Anjaneya Swamy Temple
Prays for Abundant Rainfall, Prosperity and the Development of Uyyuru
Uyyuru, September 9: Former MLC Y.V.B. Rajendraprasad expressed hope that the effects of El Niño would subside, bringing abundant rainfall, prosperity and greenery across the state. He also prayed for the peace, welfare and development of the people of Uyyuru.
A Maha Yagna and Homa was conducted at the Sri Suvarchal Anjaneya Swamy Temple in Uyyuru as part of the Shashtipoorthi celebrations of Gabbita Lakshmi Narasimha Sharma. The ritual was performed for the welfare of society under the guidance of Brahmasri Gabbita Durgaprasad.
Former MLC Y.V.B. Rajendraprasad and his wife, former Uyyuru Sarpanch Y. Bhramaramba, participated in the religious ceremony and performed the Purnahuti.
Speaking on the occasion, Rajendraprasad said he had prayed to Lord Suvarchal Anjaneya Swamy for abundant rainfall across the state and the country and for the effects of El Niño to subside. He expressed his wishes for peace, prosperity, good health and happiness among the people of Uyyuru.
He said the rituals included prayers for the welfare and longevity of the people and expressed hope that the blessings of the deity would bring health, prosperity and peace to the residents of Uyyuru. He also conveyed his best wishes to Lakshmi Narasimha Sharma on the occasion of his 60th birthday.
Former Sarpanch Y. Bhramaramba said that Shashtipoorthi marks an important milestone in a person’s life. She prayed that the blessings of Lord Suvarchal Anjaneya Swamy would remain with every family in Uyyuru.
Brahmasri Gabbita Durgaprasad, Gabbita Ramana, village elders, family members, Vedic scholars and devotees participated in the programme.
