Uravakonda: The ‘ECCDay Anganwadi Utsavam’ was organised in a grand and enthusiastic manner at the 5th Anganwadi Centre in Uravakonda. The programme was aimed at creating awareness among parents and the local community about the importance of quality Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE), proper nutrition and healthy habits for children from an early age.
Anganwadi teacher Sarojini Devi and helper Lakshmi played a key role in conducting the celebrations. Speaking on the occasion, teacher Sarojini Devi said Anganwadi centres are not limited to providing nutritional support to children, but also play an important role in laying the foundation for their mental, physical and social development.
She explained that the early years of childhood are crucial for a child’s overall growth and development. Through play-based learning, songs, activities and other interactive programmes, Anganwadi centres help children develop basic learning skills while making the learning process enjoyable.
As part of the celebrations, various games and recreational activities were organised for the children. The activities were designed to encourage creativity, participation and enthusiasm among the young children.
Parents and local residents appreciated the efforts of the Anganwadi staff in organising the programme. They particularly praised the services rendered by Anganwadi helper Lakshmi and the initiatives taken to involve children in educational and recreational activities.

The organisers said that such programmes help strengthen awareness among parents about the services available through Anganwadi centres and encourage greater community participation in child development and welfare activities.
